Plus is bought and billed by Apple. A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends, and you cancel in your iPhone’s Settings.

WholeBudget AI or your own key

Your own key (free). Requests go straight from your Mac or iPhone to the provider you chose, and you pay that provider.

WholeBudget AI (Plus). No keys to manage. Requests pass through our server in Canada to OpenAI, Anthropic or TypeSafe, and each app asks before it first sends anything.
